ようやく貿易風が安定して吹く季節になったなと思っていたら、今朝方から激しい雨が降ったり止んだりの不安定なお天気に。 ヤップに着いて初日のダイビングでこんなお天気にあたってしまったゲストにはお気の毒だけれど、こればっかりはどうしようもない。このあと島のまわりが全面的に大時化となるやもしれず、そうなるまえに西側のアウトリーフに出ておくことにした。 波の高くなりつつあるバーティーゴでは、われわれがその日の最初のダイブボートだったせいか、定番のオグロメジロザメやツマグロたちが待ち受けてくれていた。しかしときに水面をたたく雨の音がザーッと聞こえるほどの水の中は暗く、なんとなく淋しい感じの海...
